Tribalism

I'd like to talk a bit about tribalism now. Specifically in terms of the arab state but it applies to a great many others, as well as my opinions as why Europe "won" the race to "dominate" the world. Europe had a great many advantages geographically but they defeated the tribal system and had the ambition to press forward before the other regions of the world. I'd like to cite a specific example of this tribal mindset in action. The pictured man is T.E. Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence is, in my opinion, one of the most dynamic and astounding individuals of the 20th century. Anything he set his mind to he did. He was told, "That desert is uncrossable" He led 50 men across to their rival tribe and united them against the Ottoman Empire. He served in the first World War and was responsible for the success of the Arab Insurgency in the War. After he led these peoples to victory against all the tribes common enemies, convincing them to hold together to destroy their oppressors and capture Damascus before the "Modern" British Army was able to get there, sure he was freaking crazy at times but he did whatever he set his mind to. And he delivered the City not to his commanding officers in the British Army, but to the Leaders of the Tribes to form an Arab League for a united Islamic Country. And they argued and argued, not getting anything done and they all left to their tribal lands, leaving Damascus behind. While Tribalism will always exist to an extent I am speaking of the small scale. Ethnocentrism is a natural and often unfortunate part of being a human. Tribalism should be reigned in and used as a tool, not be allowed to control us.

Women

I'd like to ponder women for a bit. What is it that drives these strange creatures to torture the minds of men. Why do they feel that men should possess advance mind-reading equipment hardwired into their brains? I asked someone very dear to my heart what it is and she told me, "You have to use the context clues" And the first thing that came to mind was, "Wha? We suck at that though!" And we do, Ladies. We suck at reading your mind, and no matter how mad you get at us every time unless it's over the exact same thing life would be easier if you explained. Really that's all that really bugs me... I love ladies and all but I am mentally programmed to be different. So yeah. Ding dong Osama's dead. We climbed into is camp and shot his people up.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Anarchy

People who have the stupid idea that Anarchy is a nice idea need to be struck a few times in the head with a good ol' fashioned cudgel. Anarchy is natural selection at its most raw form. But like communism I am of the opinion that it cannot exist on a large scale for any considerable period of time. In anarchy I can kill and butcher whomever I want and as long as I have the bigger gun at the end of the day it's completely alright. Morals make people weak and so it would set the stage for the most morally repugnant members of society to be at the advantage because they would hold nothing back. Eventually those moral-less folks would band together forming what? A Government! *Yayyyyy!* Anarchy can't exist for an extended period of time unless all members of society are insane. I personally find those teenagers who wear the symbol of Anarchy deserving of particularly unpleasant things, not only being cudgeled.

Facebook Statuses

We've all seen them, and posted them, Facebook statuses like, "I am wallowing in misery right now" or, "Crying my eyes out, again." These bother me. These blatant pleas for attention, If you need to dig through facebook to find people to commiserate with you then you probably need to get your act together and find real friends that care enough to ask, "How are you?" or, "Are you okay?" Not everyone who does this is guilty in my opinion, I myself posted a few weeks back a status that said something along the lines of "I don't like hospital emergency rooms after I slipped opening a package with my knife, cut my thumb and had to get stitches, but my beef is with people who have these as every status. I have some good friends whose facebook profiles I wince at when I see them because every status might as well be something along the lines of, "HEY!!!! LOOK AT ME!!! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!" If you're one of those people, chill, find some friends who talk to you and care and chill with the pleas for attention.

Communism

Sucks. And is a stupid idea because it can't work as long as people are people. You could collect a large group of communists together, let's say 20,000, and have them form their happy communist society and it would probably tear itself asunder unless someone takes control of it fast. When I was in High School in Connecticut there was this kid nicknamed Taco, and Taco said he was a Communist. When he explained that he thought it was a great thing and could totally work I had to restrain myself from striking him on the noggin with a textbook I had with me. Communism will always fail so long as people are imperfect, the desire for power will lead to infighting and the happy communist society will fail.

I made this blog to be a more specialized blog to focus on politics and things that bother me as well as some of my thoughts about History. The other started to be more of a "what's going on" report for some friends and family who live quite a ways away. To start off I offer a brief disclaimer, don't be a douche, if you disagree with me don't throw comments in here about how stupid I am for having my own opinion and not worshipping you as the returned Messiah. I am entitled to an opinion and if you disagree politely disagree in a comment, if you don't I'll delete your piece of crap comment.
